Transfer Students

Old Westbury welcomes qualified candidates from two- and four-year colleges and universities. The college has also developed detailed articulation agreements with regional two-year colleges, designed to encourage and facilitate transfers into upper division academic programs.
Our low student to faculty ratio enables students to become more involved with the professors and enjoy a more personal atmosphere. Internship opportunities or opportunities to work with faculty on research projects are just a few of the reasons students transfer to Old Westbury.

Application
Admission to Old Westbury is granted for both the Fall and Spring semesters. To apply as a transfer student you will need a grade point average of at least 2.0. Academic programs such as those with the School of Business and Teacher Education Department require a higher GPA*. Transfer candidates in good academic standing with fewer than 24 credits must submit, in addition to official college transcripts, an official high school transcript. Transfer candidates must demonstrate mastery in English and Mathematics before registering for upper division courses and must meet the college's general education requirements.
