Office hours (when classes are in session):
Monday and Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.

The Office of the Registrar is responsible for registration; transfer credit evaluations; enrollment verifications; TAP certification; veteran's enrollment certification; transcript requests; mid-term and final grade processing; and graduation certification.

Registration
Registration takes place before each semester begins. Completion of registration, in accordance with instructions issued by the Registrar, is a prerequisite to class attendance. These instructions are published in the semester class schedule. A student is registered only when the registration is officially recorded, and tuition and fees have been paid or appropriate arrangements have been made with the Bursar.

There are several methods of registration. Students may register on the Web or by phone, using the Voice Response System, at 516-876-2900. A registration PIN (Personal Identification Number), which is obtainable from an academic advisor, is required for fall and spring WEB or phone registration.

Physical presence in class does not constitute registration in a course even when work is completed. Students who have not registered officially will not receive any credit for the course work. (Auditors in a course cannot receive retroactive credit.) All changes in students' course schedules must be made before the end of the add/drop period (generally, after the first week of the semester), as published in the semester class schedule calendar.

Courses published in the semester class schedule may be cancelled for budgetary, curricular or enrollment reasons. In such cases, an effort will be made to adjust a student's registration to minimize adverse effects.
