At the mid-point of the fall and spring semesters, mid-term grades are submitted by faculty to the Office of the Registrar. These grades are not retained in the permanent record, calculated in the GPA or recorded on academic transcripts. The purpose of mid-term grades is to provide students with a report of their academic progress. A mid-term grade report is mailed to each student using the following grade structure:

  • S = Satisfactory (grade of C or higher)
  • U = Unsatisfactory (grade of C-,D+,D,or D-)
  • F = Failing
  • NR = Not Reported or Not Required

Final grades for summer, spring, winter and fall semesters are submitted by faculty to the Office of the Registrar 48 hours after the final exam. The grades are processed by the Registrar and are available to students on the WEB approximately two weeks after receipt. Final grade reports are mailed to each student.

The grading system and corresponding quality points used on transcripts provides for 17 letter grades consisting of A (4.00), A- (3.70),B+(3.30), B(3.00), B-(2.70), C+(2.30), C(2.00), C-(1.70), D+(1.30), D(1.00), D-(0.70), F(0.00), CR.

All grades except CR are assigned quality points and are calculated in a student's GPA.
