Course Management
What
is Blackboard?
Blackboard is a course management system that allows your instructor
or professor to creating an e-learning environment. It gives you on-line
access, 24/7 to syllabi, readings, assignments, exams and other materials
your professor has posted. Blackboard also offers the ability for both
you, your classmates and, your instructor to exchange electronic files,
communicate, and have an online discussion. To take advantage of these
features you must enroll in a Blackboard component (if your instructor
has made one available) of the course in which you are registered.

Registering
for a Course vs. Enrolling in a Blackboard Component
All
courses must be added or dropped through the REGISTRAR during the
college's designated drop/add period for you to receive official
credit for your course work. Your ability to access a Blackboard course
component means only that you have enrolled in that component. Enrolling
or unenrolling from a Blackboard component has no affect on your official
class schedule or the amount of tuition your are billed.
