Learning how to access, manage, analyze, and use information is a cornerstone
of a liberal arts education. As information technology is applied to more areas
of human understanding, easy access to, and mastery of these tools becomes
even more essential.
The College at Old Westbury is committed to providing students with access to state-of-the-art
information technologies. A broad array of information services are
available to facilitate learning in the classroom, the laboratory, the
library, and the dormitory room. Of course getting access and making
use of these services requires students learn basic procedures for
logging on to the campus network as well as be responsible in how
they use the technology. Below are links to all the information an
enrolled Old Westbury student needs for logging on to the campus network,
using the varied college's computing and network services and what
is appropriate use of our technology. We also offer Help Desk services
to students who would like assistance directly from staff either online
or in person.
