The Reference Department is....Valuable Real Estate, that is, it's up front with
heavily used material, computers, and people who not only are trained to help
but also really want to help. Reference is on the right as you enter the library.
We
have general knowledge sources - encyclopedias, dictionaries, etc - as well
as specialized tools in many subject areas. Maps, economic and demographic
statistics, medical dictionaries are just a few of the items you'll find.
Our 46 computers will get you to our online resources as well as to the Internet
in general. Librarians will help you develop research strategies and hone
searching techniques.
