Real World Experience

The Management, Marketing & Information Systems Department offers real-world opportunities via the Internship and Placement Program of the College's School of Business. Designed to help students gain practical experience and explore career possibilities, the School of Business' placement program offers an optional Internship Program for academic credit to those students who meet the eligibility requirements. Interested students should contact the Director, Internships & Placement early in the semester prior to the semester during which they wish to participate in the School of Business Internship Program.

Did You Know?

Seniors, Kacey-Ann Thompson and Emmanuel Konde of the Biological Sciences Department, earned recognition at the 14th annual New York State Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program Conference.

More than 22% percent of Old Westbury's professors have earned among SUNY's highest honors - the rank of Distinguished Teaching Professor, Distinguished Service Professor or Chancellor's Award for Excellence in teaching and service.

35 Old Westbury students gave up their traditional Spring Break rituals in 2006 and instead volunteered their time and effort in New Orleans to aid recovery efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
