Clubs & Activities

The Finance Society: Membership in the Finance Society provides exciting opportunities for career development, networking, and participation in conferences, seminars and programs on investment strategy, financial analysis, economic forecasting, derivatives and risk management.

New York Society of Security Analysts (Student Chapter): Members of the NYSSA have access to programs offered through the organization's Investment Research Challenge which in the past has offered seminars on ethics, research analysis and writing.

Did You Know?

Distinguished Service Professor of Mathematics, Jong Pil Lee, was awarded a 2005 Presidential Award for Excellence in Science, Mathematics and Engineering Mentoring during ceremonies held at The White House.

Seniors, Kacey-Ann Thompson and Emmanuel Konde of the Biological Sciences Department, earned recognition at the 14th annual New York State Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program Conference.

Among SUNY's comprehensive colleges, Old Westbury ranks among the highest in science and engineering funding to support competitive scientific research. Funding for research is provided by the U.S. Department of Energy, the National Institute of General Medical Sciences of the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation and the New York State Department of Education.
