The Catalyst - Student Newspaper:  The Catalyst serves as both the voice of the Old Westbury student body and as a training ground for budding journalists.

OWWR, Old Westbury Web Radio: OWWR offers students the opportunity to hone their technical and presentation skills while informing and entertaining the campus as a whole. The radio studio is located in Student Union. Web streaming of Old Westbury's student-run radio station is available at radio.oldwestbury.edu. Check back here for details.

Did You Know?

Maryann De Leo, a 1977 graduate of the Media & Communications program within the American Studies Department, was honored with an Oscar in the Documentary Short Subject category at the 76th Annual Academy Awards for her work as producer and director of "Chernobyl Heart," a film about the effects of radiation on the children of Belarus, Russia, 16 years after the infamous nuclear reactor accident at Chernobyl.

35 Old Westbury students gave up their traditional Spring Break rituals in 2006 and instead volunteered their time and effort in New Orleans to aid recovery efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

The JP Morgan Chase Foundation awarded a $50,000 grant to support the Curriculum Materials Center in the College library.
