Get ready to roar as SUNY College at Old Westbury celebrates the 2nd annual “Panther Pride Week,” the College’s annual homecoming event for students, alumni, faculty and staff of the College. Four days of events and activities are planned, including:

Getting the Party Started
Wednesday, October 14, 2009

  • 12 p.m. – Kickoff Barbecue on the Meadow Terrace
  • 4 p.m. – Commuter Student Kickoff in the Academic Village
  • 4 p.m. – Panther Men’s Soccer vs. SUNY Maritime
  • 5 p.m. –Panther Women’s Volleyball vs. O.W. Alumni All-Stars in the Clark Center
  • 7 p.m. – Panther Women’s Volleyball vs. City Tech in the Clark Center
  • 9 p.m. – SGA Movie Night

Green-And-White Spirit Day
Thursday, October 15, 2009

  • All Day – Show Your Spirit Decorating Contest
  • 12 p.m. – Decorate a Tee-Shirt on the Meadow Terrace
  • 2 p.m. – Pie-Eating and Hot Dog-Eating Contests on the Meadow Terrace
  • 4 p.m. – Evening Student Activities in the Academic Village
  • 7:30 p.m. – “Midnight Madness” in the Clark Center

  • 11:30 a.m. – Team Challenge for Employees and Students
  • 4 p.m. -- Tailgate Party at the Clark Center
  • 4:30 p.m. – Students, Alumni, Faculty and Staff Softball Game
  • 6 p.m. – Panther Baseball vs. Suffolk Community College
  • 8 p.m. – Comedy Night in the Maguire Theater

Saturday, October 17, 2009

  • 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. – Mini Country Fair on the Meadow Terrace
  • 12 p.m. – Women’s Soccer vs. Staten Island
  • 3 p.m. – Men’s Soccer vs. Union
  • 5 p.m. – Panther Pride Week Ceremonial Dinner
  • 7:30 p.m. – “Old Westbury’s Got Talent” including the coronation of “Mr. and Ms. Old Westbury”
