Old Westbury's admission criteria for First Year Students is based on an 80 high
school average, a combined score of 1000 on the SAT I exam (College Entrance
Examinations), or a total score of 22 on the ACT (American College Test). Regents
classes, Honors classes and Advanced Placement courses are strongly preferred.
Application
To apply for First Year Student admission, a completed application must include
the following:
- An Old Westbury Supplemental Application (call Enrollment Services
at 516-876-3073 for the application) an autobiographical statement OR Click

- A SUNY application (available at our office
or at your high school). You may also file the SUNY online application by
accessing the Internet at
http://www.suny.edu/student/
- An official high school transcript.
- SAT scores or ACT scores.
- An $50 application fee.
- Letters of recommendation are encouraged and interviews
will be scheduled if necessary.

The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) is available for academically and
financially disadvantaged students. Information regarding EOP and other special
programs for adult students is available through the Office of Enrollment Services.
It's important to apply early in your senior year, as the College responds
for most programs on a rolling admissions basis. This means you'll hear
your admissions decision usually within four to six weeks of completing your
application.
