The services offered by the Maintenance and Facilities Department are structured in four separate categories:

Capital Planning/Construction Management  top
Projects related to construction on campus are managed by the College's facilities program coordinator, Jacqueline Weber, who can be reached by calling (516) 876-3303.

Among the responsibilities included in capital planning/construction management are:

• In-House project management
• Archiving of building plans and campus maps
• Building inventory information
• Code compliance
• Service as campus' State University Construction Fund liaison

General Institutional Services  top

  • All services related to the U.S. Post Office located on campus, including receipt and delivery of U.S. and campus mail.
  • The College mailroom is located in the Campus Center, Room K-101.

  • Inventory of campus equipment and supplies
  • Management of surplus sale and disposal

  up  Recycling  top

  • Universal wastes (batteries, computer monitors and fluorescent tubes)
  • Cardboard
  • Clothing and miscellaneous item recycling periodically
  • Mixed Paper - Any proportions of junk mail, mixed office paper, classroom paper, magazines, telephone books, boxboard, newspaper, fax paper.
  • Toner cartridges
