Business Reference Librarian - The College at Old Westbury Library is seeking a Business Reference Librarian at the Senior Assistant Librarian rank, who, as a member of the reference team, plans and delivers the full range of reference and instructional services. These include assistance with print and electronic resources, library instruction, and creation of subject-oriented research guides and web pages. The Business Reference Librarian will participate in projects such as the development of on-line reference service, distance education course support, services relating to numeric data files, and web page management. The Business Reference Librarian will have primary responsibility for these services for the School of Business faculty and students. Collection management responsibilities will also be assigned in appropriate subject areas. The School of Business currently has graduate programs in accounting and finance which the Business Reference Librarian will have the opportunity to support with advanced research databases. The position will include scheduled night and weekend hours. This Librarian participates in professional development activities, and serves on library and College committees as elected or assigned; other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: An ALA-accredited Master's degree in Library Science (or equivalent degree) with an undergraduate or graduate business degree required. Demonstrable knowledge of business resources in both print and electronic format required. One year experience in a business library or in an academic business library required. Facility with MS Office products, especially Publisher required. Facility with miscellaneous production tools such as screen capture required. Experience with simple website development required. The ideal candidate will be comfortable, and keep current, with technology; will communicate effectively with both faculty and first-time-to-college undergraduates; and will be an independent self-starter who is also an effective team member.

EOP Admissions Advisor - The EOP Admissions Advisor is the primary and lead professional who provides all admissions services to EOP applicants and must effectively relate to students, parents, guidance counselors and community based organizations. Participates in recruitment activities, staff meetings, conducts interviews, and attends college fairs. Participates in recruitment, selection, and orientation of applicants selected for the Summer Program. Prepares reports and provides data to document services provided. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Student Personnel Development, Social Work or a human service related field required. Master's degree preferred. Two to three years professional experience providing admissions services to educationally and economically disadvantaged students required.

Student Affairs
Dean of Students - Reporting to the Vice President for Student Affairs, the Dean of Students is a senior-level administrator in the Division of Student Affairs responsible to provide leadership to the development of a positive, inclusive and civil campus community of students aspiring to excel academically. The Dean of Students serves as a student resource and advocate. The Dean provides direct supervision to the Judicial Officer, the Director of Student Activities and the Assistant to the Dean who is responsible for commuter services. The Dean of Students works closely with the University Police Department in resolution of student misconduct issues as appropriate. The Dean of Students manages the Student Union and supervises the Student Union Manager. The Dean serves as the Student Affairs liaison to various University committees and work groups. The Dean is also expected to perform other duties as assigned to advance the mission of the Division. This position may require evening and weekend hours. QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in Student Personnel, Higher Education Administration or related area required. Five to seven years progressive administrative/managerial experience required in one or more of the following areas: Residential Life, Commuter Services, Greek Affairs, Judicial Affairs, Student Activities, Multi-Cultural Resources, or Career Services. Knowledge of student development principles and leadership theory essential. The successful candidate must have experience with multicultural student body populations and sound interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
