The SUNY College at Old Westbury Office of Institutional Advancement coordinates
fund raising activities involving alumni, parents, faculty, staff, corporations,
private foundations and friends. This office also manages the Annual Fund, which
primarily raises annual gifts from alumni through a comprehensive phone-mail
program and reunion class gifts.
The Advancement team works closely with the Old
Westbury College Foundation, Inc., a not-for-profit corporation led by area
business and civic leaders,
to secure gifts and grants to fund programs that benefit students and faculty
at the College for which state support is not available, including:
- Merit Scholarships for outstanding students
- Faculty Grants to fund research,
professional travel, and creative projects
- Study Abroad fellowships for
travel and study expenses
- Equipment renewal for academic departments
