In recent years, SUNY College at Old Westbury has worked closely with corporations
and foundations to meet the challenges of offering quality liberal arts and
professional programs for the College's diverse and growing student body.
Successful
partnerships have been established with corporations, regional businesses
and foundations, most focusing on providing expanded educational
experiences for students, special research or educational projects for
faculty, or programs centered on important public purposes. Partnerships and
programs
are collaborative and assure that corporate contributions support corporate
philanthropic interests while assisting the college's primary mission.
Foundation funds support agreed-upon and very specific programs.
Gifts from corporations take many forms, including cash, equipment and scientific
instruments, software to upgrade teaching and lab facilities, or gifts-in-kind.
