The
Office of the Registrar is responsible
for the following functions for
the undergraduate and graduate
schools: registration and records;
CAPP (degree audit); transfer
credit evaluations; transfer articulation;
enrollment verifications; CPA
exam application certification;
TAP certification; veteran's enrollment
certification; transcript requests;
declaration of majors; address
changes; classroom scheduling;
course scheduling; mid-term and
final grade processing; and graduation
application and clearance.
Registration
Registration takes place before each semester begins. Completion of registration,
in accordance with instructions issued by the Registrar, is a prerequisite
to class attendance. These instructions are published in the semester
class schedule. A student is registered only when the registration is officially
recorded, and tuition and fees have been paid or appropriate arrangements
have been made with the Bursar.
Students may register on the Web. A registration
PIN (Personal Identification Number), which is obtainable from an academic
advisor, is required for fall and spring WEB registration.
Physical presence in class does not constitute registration in a course even
when work is completed. Students who have not registered officially will not
receive any credit for the course work. (Auditors in a course cannot receive
retroactive credit.) All changes in students' course schedules must be made
before the end of the add/drop period (generally, after the first week of the
semester), as published in the semester class schedule calendar.
Courses published in the semester class schedule may be cancelled for budgetary,
curricular or enrollment reasons. In such cases, an effort will be made to
adjust a student's registration to minimize adverse effects.
