Graduation

Students who will complete their graduation requirements in the fall semester must apply for graduation at the Office of the Registrar by October 1. Those who expect to complete degree requirements in the spring semester must apply by March 1. Students who are planning to complete degree requirements during the summer must apply by June 15.

Applications for graduation are available two weeks prior to the due date. Late applicants may not receive important information regarding the May commencement ceremony, including details for cap and gown orders. In addition, names of late applicants may not appear in the commencement program.

Prior to applying for graduation, students are requested to review their academic record -“CAPP”- as instructed below. Students may not apply with missing requirements.

CAPP (Curriculum Advising and Program Planning)

• Access www.oldwestbury.edu
• Select Registration (right side in blue box under ONLINE COMMUNITY)
• Select Login to secure area
• Enter user ID and password
• Select Student Services
• Select Student Records
• Select Degree Evaluation
• Select a Term and submit
• Scroll to bottom of page and select Generate New Evaluation*
• Choose or verify program, verify term and select Generate Request
• Select Detail Requirement and submit
