Located
in the Academic Village, the Academic
Advising Center (AAC) assists
students
in the areas of testing, evaluation,
placement, academic advisement
and new student orientation.
The Academic Advisors in the Academic Advising Center provide the following services:
- Administer the College's Placement Examinations
in English and Mathematics
- Advise students in the selection of their courses
- Explain General Education
requirements to students
- Complete a GE Worksheet upon request
- Help students choose a major
- Provide information on academic policies and
procedures
- Monitor the progress of students in academic jeopardy and/or
on probation
- Advise students on time-management and study skills
Office Hours:
Mondays through Friday: 8:30 a.m - 5:00 p.m.
Appointments are required
During summer the office closes at 4:30 pm.
NOTE: While
every effort is made to keep
the evening walk-in hours for
advising, on occasion the office
may not be open late due to
unforeseen circumstances. Please
call in advance to confirm that
an advisor will be available
on a particular evening.
