By
linking community needs to the
expertise of our distinguished
faculty, experienced staff, and
diverse student body, CEPC conducts
outreach and develops projects
that are of mutual benefit to
all stakeholders, enhancing student
learning, providing faculty research
opportunities and meeting real
community needs.
Made
possible through support provided
by the Horace and Amy Hagedorn
Fund of the Long Island Community
Foundation, this program exemplifies
Old Westbury’s
commitment to community outreach
and leadership development. Students
will make a connection between
curricular concepts, community
issues and the major problems
confronting our global society
today. Local communities will
benefit through the receipt of
needed services, heightened student
awareness and the promise of future
civic engagement.
